Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid impaired driving and liquor-related charges following a traffic stop on Highway 17. The incident occurred when officers observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and initiated a stop. Upon approaching the driver, police detected signs of alcohol impairment, leading to further investigation.

The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and possession of open liquor. The vehicle was impounded, and the driver's licence was suspended pending a court appearance.
