The International Test Pilots School Canada is set to launch its International Tactical Training Centre operations in North Bay this July, marking a significant milestone for aviation training in the region.
New Facility at Jack Garland Airport
The facility will be based at the hangar complex at Jack Garland Airport, offering advanced tactical training programs for pilots. The school aims to provide world-class instruction using state-of-the-art equipment and simulators.
Training Programs and Opportunities
The International Tactical Training Centre will focus on both initial and advanced training for military and civilian pilots. Courses will cover a range of topics, including flight test techniques, systems evaluation, and mission planning.
Local officials have expressed enthusiasm for the project, noting its potential to boost the local economy and establish North Bay as a hub for aviation excellence. The school is expected to attract students from across Canada and internationally.
Operations are scheduled to begin in July 2026, with the first cohort of students starting their training shortly thereafter.
