Traffic stop leads to major drug seizure

The OPP's Kirkland Lake detachment conducted the traffic stop on June 14, 2026, which resulted in the discovery of a significant quantity of illicit substances and a replica firearm. The estimated street value of the drugs seized exceeds $276,000.

Charges laid

A 51-year-old individual from Kirkland Lake was arrested and faces multiple charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The investigation is ongoing.
