Auto Show in Leduc Promises Dyno Thrills, Tire-Smoking Chills

New Age Motors in Leduc, Alberta, is set to host its first-ever Namfest auto show on July 11, 2026, promising an adrenaline-filled day for car enthusiasts of all ages. The event will feature dyno demonstrations, tire-smoking stunts, and a display of show cars outside the dealership, according to a report by CTV News Edmonton.

Event Details and Attractions

The free outdoor event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at New Age Motors, located at 5709 50th St. in Leduc. Visitors can expect live dyno runs where vehicles are tested for horsepower and torque, along with burnouts and other high-octane performances. Show cars will be on display outside the dealership, offering a close-up look at customized and performance vehicles.

New Age Motors owner Dave St. Jean said the idea for Namfest came from a desire to give back to the community and share a passion for cars. “We wanted to create an event that brings people together, something for families and car lovers alike,” St. Jean told CTV News Edmonton. The event is free and open to the public, with food trucks and vendors also on site.

Community and Family Focus

Organizers emphasize that the event is designed for all ages, with activities for children and adults. In addition to the car displays and performances, there will be a kids’ zone with face painting and games. The goal is to foster a family-friendly atmosphere while showcasing automotive culture.

Leduc, a city just south of Edmonton, has a growing automotive community. Namfest aims to become an annual tradition, drawing car enthusiasts from across the region. “We’ve had a great response from the community so far,” St. Jean added. “We’re expecting a big turnout.”

Safety and Logistics

To ensure safety during the tire-smoking stunts, the event will have designated areas with barriers and fire extinguishers on hand. Attendees are advised to arrive early, as parking is limited. The event will proceed rain or shine, with indoor displays available if weather turns poor.
