Windsor Police Seek Video After Attempted Vehicle Thefts

Windsor police are asking residents in east Windsor to review their surveillance and dashcam footage after a series of attempted vehicle thefts left several vehicles damaged. Officers received five reports of attempted vehicle thefts between June 12 and June 13 in the area of Hawthorne Drive and Lauzon Road, according to police.

Investigators Believe Incidents Are Connected

Investigators believe the incidents are connected, saying the suspects used a similar method to gain entry and damage each of the targeted vehicles. Police are looking to identify three suspects believed to be involved in the string of attempts.

Members of the Windsor Police Service auto theft unit are asking anyone who lives in the area to review surveillance and dashcam recordings captured between 9 p.m. on June 12 and 8 a.m. on June 13 for any suspicious activity.

The police urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to help prevent further incidents.
