An Ohio man has been charged with luring a child from Manitoba online, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The arrest followed a joint investigation between Canadian and U.S. authorities.

The RCMP announced the charges on May 11, 2026. The suspect, whose name has not been released, allegedly targeted a minor in Manitoba through online platforms. The investigation involved the RCMP's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Police say the man is currently in custody in Ohio and faces extradition to Canada. The charges include luring a child, possession of child pornography, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
