Montreal (1-2) is coming off a 30-20 loss to the Ottawa Redblacks on July 4. The Alouettes have struggled offensively, ranking seventh in the CFL in points per game (22.3). Quarterback Cody Fajardo has thrown for 654 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions this season.

According to head coach Jason Maas, the team needs to improve its execution on both sides of the ball. "We have to be more consistent," Maas said. "Calgary is a tough opponent, but we're confident we can bounce back at home."

The Stampeders defense ranks third in the league, allowing just 24.3 points per game. Defensive end James Vaughters has recorded three sacks, while linebacker Micah Awe leads the team with 22 tackles. They will face an Alouettes offensive line that has allowed eight sacks so far.
