Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Dylan Cease, and Gus Varland have been selected as American League All-Stars, joining Ernie Clement to give the Toronto Blue Jays four representatives at the 2026 MLB All-Star Game. The announcement was made by Major League Baseball on Saturday.

Blue Jays Quartet Headed to All-Star Game

Guerrero Jr., the Blue Jays' first baseman, earned his fifth All-Star selection. He is batting .312 with 22 home runs and 74 RBIs this season, ranking among the AL leaders in multiple offensive categories. Cease, a right-handed pitcher acquired in a trade last offseason, posted a 9-4 record with a 2.89 ERA and 145 strikeouts over 112 innings. Varland, a reliever, has a 2.45 ERA with 12 saves in 38 appearances. Clement, an infielder, was named to his first All-Star team earlier this week as a reserve.

Blue Jays All-Star Selections Reflect Strong Season

The four selections tie the franchise record for most All-Stars in a single season, matching the 2015 and 2021 teams. The Blue Jays currently hold a 52-34 record, first place in the AL East. Manager John Schneider praised the players, stating, 'These four guys have been instrumental to our success. They absolutely deserve this honour.'
