Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and Brazil's Luisa Stefani have advanced to the women's doubles final at Wimbledon, defeating their opponents in straight sets on Thursday. The pair, seeded No. 2, won 6-4, 6-2 over the unseeded duo of Anna Danilina of Kazakhstan and Irina Khromacheva of Russia.
Dominant performance on Centre Court
Playing on Centre Court, Dabrowski and Stefani broke serve four times and saved all three break points they faced. The match lasted just 68 minutes, with the Canadian-Brazilian team winning 72 per cent of points on their first serve.
"We played really well today. We executed our game plan perfectly and stayed aggressive throughout," Dabrowski said after the match. "We're excited to be in the final and will give it our all."
Path to the final
Dabrowski, from Ottawa, and Stefani have dropped only one set en route to the final. They defeated the top-seeded pair of Elise Mertens and Hsieh Su-wei in the quarterfinals, winning 7-5, 6-3. In the semifinals, they faced Danilina and Khromacheva, who had upset the No. 3 seeds in the previous round.

Final matchup set
Dabrowski and Stefani will face the No. 4 seeds, Caroline Dolehide of the United States and Desirae Krawczyk of the United States, in the final. Dolehide and Krawczyk advanced by defeating the No. 5 seeds, Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez, 6-4, 6-3 in the other semifinal.
This will be Dabrowski's second Wimbledon women's doubles final. She won the title in 2023 with partner Erin Routliffe of New Zealand. Stefani is seeking her first Wimbledon title, having previously won the mixed doubles at the US Open in 2020.
The final is scheduled for Saturday on Centre Court. Dabrowski and Stefani will be looking to add to their impressive season, which includes titles at the Miami Open and the Italian Open.
