Historic Quarterfinal Matchup
The quarterfinal against Djokovic will be Auger-Aliassime's second at Wimbledon; he also reached this stage in 2021. Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, is seeking his eighth title. The Serbian defeated Alex de Minaur in straight sets to reach the quarterfinals. Djokovic's 106th match win at Wimbledon breaks the previous record of 105 held by Federer.
According to Tennis Canada, Auger-Aliassime is the first Canadian man to reach multiple Wimbledon quarterfinals. The match is scheduled for Tuesday on Centre Court.
