Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have reported an unusual incident in which a thief drove a stolen truck directly to a police detachment. The incident took place in northern Ontario, according to OPP officials.
Details of the Incident
Police say the suspect drove the stolen vehicle to the East Algoma OPP detachment. Officers on site quickly apprehended the individual without incident. The truck was reported stolen earlier in the day from a nearby location.
Charges Laid
The accused now faces charges including theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property. The individual was held in custody pending a bail hearing. OPP did not release the name of the accused, citing ongoing investigations.
