A second person has been charged in connection with the April 9 homicide of a 39-year-old man in Saskatoon. A 21-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday at Pine Grove Correctional Centre and faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.
The charges come a day after a 27-year-old man was charged with manslaughter in the same case, which marks Saskatoon's fourth homicide of 2026.
Details of the Incident
Police responded to a call in the 500 block of Avenue X South around 3:45 a.m. on April 9. Officers found an injured, unresponsive man in the Meadowgreen neighbourhood. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Court documents identify the victim as Curtis Clarke.
Previous Charges
Richard Kelly Cross, 27, made his first appearance in Saskatoon provincial court this week. He faces a dozen charges, including manslaughter, unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm. According to court documents, Cross is accused of using an imitation firearm — a sawed-off shotgun — in the commission of the offences. He is scheduled to return to court on June 18.
