ReginaMosaic has unveiled a comprehensive 2030 action plan designed to significantly increase job opportunities for Indigenous people in the region. The initiative focuses on targeted training programs, partnerships with Indigenous organizations, and sustainable employment pathways.
Key Components of the Plan
The action plan includes several strategic pillars: skills development, mentorship, and direct hiring commitments. ReginaMosaic aims to collaborate with local Indigenous communities to identify specific needs and create tailored programs that address barriers to employment.
Training and Education
Central to the plan is the establishment of training hubs that will offer certifications in high-demand sectors such as construction, technology, and healthcare. These hubs will be co-developed with Indigenous educators and elders to ensure cultural relevance.
Partnerships and Investment
ReginaMosaic is committing financial resources and will seek matching funds from federal and provincial governments. Private sector partners are also expected to contribute through job placements and internships.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to advance economic reconciliation and reduce unemployment disparities faced by Indigenous communities in Saskatchewan. The plan is set to be implemented in phases, with the first targets expected by 2028.
