A pedestrian has died following a hit-and-run collision in Langley, British Columbia, police confirmed on Thursday. The incident occurred earlier this week, and authorities are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

According to the Langley RCMP, officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver fled before police arrived.
Investigators have not released a description of the suspect vehicle but are reviewing surveillance footage from the area. No arrests have been made.

Constable James Smith of the Langley RCMP stated, “We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact us immediately.” The investigation is ongoing.
