Nova Scotia Woman Arrested on Drugs, Weapons Charges

Nova Scotia RCMP have arrested a woman on multiple drug and weapons charges. Tara Lee Wilson, 33, was taken into custody following an investigation by the force's provincial crime enforcement unit.

Details of the Arrest

Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the Halifax area on June 7, 2026. During the search, officers seized a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription pills, along with a loaded firearm and ammunition.

Wilson faces charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of proceeds of crime. She appeared in Halifax provincial court on June 8 and was remanded into custody pending a future court date.

RCMP Statement

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Chris Marshall said the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and illegal weapons in the province. “This seizure removes dangerous substances and a firearm from our communities,” Marshall said. He encouraged anyone with information about drug or weapons offences to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible, police said.
