Calgary Police Seek Suspects in Lions Park Assault

Calgary Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a group of suspects believed to be involved in an assault with a weapon that took place at the Lions Park LRT station on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Incident Details

At approximately 5:52 p.m., a man at the Sunnyside LRT station called 911 after noticing a woman who appeared to have sustained multiple injuries. She was transported to the hospital with serious injuries consistent with an assault involving a weapon.

Police determined that the assault had occurred earlier in the day, around 1:30 p.m., in a grassy area south of the Lions Park LRT station platform, between 14th Avenue and 13th Avenue N.W.

Suspects Sought

After reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the station, investigators are now looking to identify one man and four women believed to be involved. Images of the suspects from the CCTV footage have been released to the public.
