A young boy has died after falling from an apartment building in Ottawa's Sandy Hill neighbourhood, Ottawa police confirmed on Tuesday.

Emergency crews responded to the scene near the intersection of Chapel Street and Rideau Street on Monday evening. The boy was transported to hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
Police have not released the child's age or identity, but say the investigation is ongoing. No foul play is suspected at this time.
