Toronto Police have charged a 66-year-old Aurora man in connection with two alleged indecent acts that occurred outside separate elementary schools. Paolo Novello faces charges including criminal harassment, indecent act exposure, and incident act.
Details of the Incidents
According to police, on May 27, Novello allegedly committed an indecent act at an elementary school in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area, witnessed by multiple young students. Then, on June 10, a similar incident took place at a school near Highway 7 and Warden Avenue.

Two Charged in Toronto Homicide
In a separate case, two men from the Greater Toronto Area have been charged in connection with a homicide that occurred over the weekend. Police responded to a disturbance call in the Keele Street and Wilson Avenue area on Sunday at 6:01 a.m., where a group was fighting and an adult male was assaulted and struck by a vehicle.
Life-saving measures were performed, but the victim, identified as Erik Safar, 32, of Toronto, was pronounced dead at the scene. Suspects fled in a light-colored vehicle. This marks Toronto's 14th homicide of 2026.
On Tuesday, Milan Andras Babos, 18, of Hamilton, and Richard Olah, 23, of Toronto, turned themselves in and have been charged with second-degree murder. Anyone with information can contact police at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers.
Four Charged in Auto Theft Ring
York Regional Police have charged four individuals following a May 2026 investigation into a violent auto theft group operating across York Region and the GTA. The suspects were involved in stealing vehicles in York Region, Toronto, and Peel Region, some incidents involving firearms and violence.
On May 26, the suspects attempted to steal a vehicle in Markham near Woodbine Avenue and Shields Court. With help from Air Support and Canine units, investigators tracked them to a residence in Brampton. Three suspects were arrested, and a loaded firearm and controlled substances were seized. On June 3, a fourth suspect was arrested in Caledon.
Three stolen vehicles worth approximately $400,000 were recovered. The accused include Tejvir Singh Dhatt, 21, of Vaughan; Soban Malik, 21, of Vaughan; a 17-year-old male of no fixed address; and Chanvir Singh, 19, of Caledon. They face multiple firearm, drug, and property charges.

Mississauga Man Charged in Vaughan Assault
York Regional Police have charged Scott Kynnersley, 41, of Mississauga, after a woman was sprayed with an aerosol irritant in Vaughan on May 28. The victim was attending a community event when she was approached by the suspect, who sprayed her and fled. She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Kynnersley faces weapon-related charges and a probation violation.
