Winnipeg's spray pads and pools to open for summer season in 2026
The City of Winnipeg has announced the opening dates for its spray pads and outdoor pools for the 2026 summer season. Spray pads are set to open on May 30, while outdoor pools will begin operations on June 6, weather permitting.
Residents can enjoy 22 spray pads across the city, with facilities at locations such as Corydon Community Centre, Kildonan Park, and St. Vital Park. The spray pads will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Labour Day.
Outdoor pools, including those at Pan Am Pool, Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, and Margaret Grant Pool, will open on June 6. Pool hours vary by location, and admission fees remain unchanged from last year.
The city reminds visitors that spray pads are free to use, while pool admission requires a fee or a valid leisure access pass. In case of inclement weather, closures will be announced on the city's website and social media channels.
This year, the city has also introduced new water conservation measures at spray pads, including automated shut-off timers to reduce water usage during low-traffic periods.
