Suspect Sought After Girl Grabbed in Vaughan

York Regional Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect and vehicle following an assault in Vaughan last week, where a young woman was allegedly grabbed from behind while walking on a forested pathway. The incident occurred on April 22 at approximately 5:30 p.m. on a trail connecting Lady Nadia Drive and Rivermill Crescent.

According to authorities, the victim was able to break free from her attacker and immediately contacted police. She did not sustain any physical injuries. The suspect fled northbound toward Lady Nadia Drive. He is described as a man between 30 and 40 years old, last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, a grey and blue jacket, running shoes, and a black medical mask.

The suspect's vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored 2021 to 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLA sport utility vehicle. It was last observed traveling eastbound on Lady Dolores Avenue before turning north onto Bathurst Street. Fatal Workplace Incident in Hamilton

Hamilton Police are investigating a fatal workplace incident in the city's industrial sector that claimed the life of a 48-year-old man. On Monday at around 4:20 p.m., emergency services responded to a waste transfer facility on Strathearne Avenue after reports that a worker had been struck by heavy equipment.

Police, Hamilton Paramedic Service, and the Hamilton Fire Department arrived at the scene and found a male with critical injuries. Life-saving measures were initiated immediately, and he was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The incident involved a commercial vehicle and heavy equipment operating at the site. The Ministry of Labour has been notified and is assisting with the investigation. The Office of the Chief Coroner is also involved and has ordered a post-mortem examination. Security Guards Threatened in Pickering

A 28-year-old Brampton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening security guards with a knife in Pickering. On Friday at approximately 12:25 p.m., Durham police responded to a robbery call at the Shoppers Drug Mart inside The Shops at Pickering City Centre. It is alleged that a man entered the store, concealed several items in a bag, and fled when confronted by staff. When mall security attempted to follow the suspect, he reportedly threatened them with a large knife. Officers apprehended him without incident shortly after.

Jarmanjit Singh is charged with possession of a weapon dangerous, two counts each of theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and breach of probation. Oakville Home Invasion and Vehicle Theft

Halton police are investigating a home invasion and vehicle theft in Oakville. On Sunday at approximately 3:05 a.m., officers responded to a home in the area of Neyagawa Boulevard and Dundas Street after three male suspects used a hammer to break a window on the front door, then reached inside to unlock the door and gain entry. The residents awoke to the noise and were allegedly confronted by a suspect holding a hammer and demanding keys to a Mercedes SUV parked in the driveway. After obtaining the keys, the suspects fled in the stolen SUV, along with a red SUV they had arrived in. The stolen SUV was later abandoned and recovered in Toronto. No physical injuries were reported.

Bomb Threat at Hamilton School

A 13-year-old Hamilton youth faces charges of public mischief and uttering threats to cause bodily harm in connection with a school threat incident. On January 20 at approximately 11:51 a.m., Hamilton police responded to a reported bomb threat at Highview Public Elementary School. School staff received the alleged threat, which indicated that an explosive device would detonate later that afternoon. As a precaution, school officials evacuated about 500 students and staff to a nearby secondary school. Officers conducted a thorough search of the school and surrounding property, but no explosive devices or suspicious items were located. The school was later deemed cleared, and students were safely dismissed from the alternate location.
