Halifax Regional Police are investigating a stabbing that took place over the weekend, authorities confirmed Monday. The incident occurred on Saturday evening in the area of Gottingen Street, a busy corridor in the city's north end.
Details of the Incident
Police responded to reports of an assault around 8:30 p.m. on June 20. Upon arrival, officers found a man with stab wounds. The victim was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. No suspects have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
According to police spokesperson Const. John MacLeod, "We are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward." The motive remains unclear, and detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the area.

This is the second stabbing in Halifax this month. On June 5, a 24-year-old man was injured in a similar attack on Barrington Street. Police have not indicated if the incidents are connected.
