The crash occurred on Hastings Street, a major thoroughfare in Burnaby, B.C. Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision and discovered the car perched on the median barrier. “The occupants fled on foot prior to police arrival,” said a Burnaby RCMP spokesperson. “We are seeking witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.”

Police have not released a description of the suspects or details about the vehicle. The incident is being treated as a hit-and-run, though it is unclear if other vehicles were involved. Hastings Street was partially closed for investigation but has since reopened.
