Ottawa police are searching for a suspect who stole an undisclosed amount of alcohol from a business on Merivale Road Wednesday morning, assaulting staff before fleeing on an e-scooter. The suspect was reportedly wearing beach-style attire during the incident.
Details of the robbery
According to police, the suspect entered an unnamed business in the 900 block of Merivale Road, selected several products, and then walked out without paying. When staff attempted to intervene, the suspect allegedly assaulted them and escaped on an e-scooter with the stolen goods.
Suspect description
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, aged mid-20s to early 30s, standing between five feet six inches and five feet ten inches tall. He has long brown hair tied in a ponytail and a dark beard. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a yellow button-up shirt left unbuttoned, black shorts, reading glasses, white running shoes, a backpack, and a cross-body bag.
