Four men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Calgary pub, according to police. The incident occurred on July 9, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m. when the suspects entered the establishment in the 300 block of 10th Avenue S.W. with weapons and demanded cash.
Suspects Arrested After Investigation
Calgary Police Service responded to the scene and launched an investigation. Through surveillance footage and witness statements, officers identified the four suspects. They were arrested without incident on July 10. Police recovered a firearm and a portion of the stolen cash.
Charges and Court Appearance
The accused are identified as two 22-year-old men, a 24-year-old man, and a 26-year-old man. They face charges including robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. All four are scheduled to appear in court on July 11.
“This was a brazen act of violence that put the public at risk,” said Calgary Police Service spokesperson Sgt. Mark Smith. “We are grateful no one was physically injured, and we are committed to holding those responsible accountable.”
Impact on Community
The pub owner, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed relief that the suspects were caught quickly. “It’s been a stressful time for staff and patrons. We hope this sends a message that such behaviour won’t be tolerated in our community,” they said.
