Two people were taken to hospital and two dogs were rescued from a fire that broke out at a Parkdale walk-up apartment on Friday, April 24, 2026. Toronto Fire Services responded to the blaze, which damaged the balconies of the building.

Fire Details

The fire was reported in the evening hours, and crews arrived to find flames and smoke emanating from the structure. Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the fire and ensure the safety of residents. Two individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident. Animal Rescue

During the operation, firefighters also rescued two dogs from the apartment. The animals were safely removed from the building and reunited with their owners. No further injuries to pets were reported.
