One person is dead and another is fighting for their life after a Monday afternoon double shooting in North York.
Toronto Police said on social media that they responded to reports of shots fired at about 3:20 p.m. near Victoria Park Ave. and Hwy. 401, where two people were found with gunshot wounds.
Victims Found at Two Locations
According to police, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene near Victoria Park Avenue and Highway 401. The second victim was located near Victoria Park Avenue and Sheppard Avenue and was rushed to a hospital via an emergency run. Their condition is described as critical.
Police reported that the homicide unit has been notified, but no other information, including potential suspects, was immediately available.
