York Police Launch Public Appeal for Additional Suspect in Major Trafficking Investigation
York Regional Police have intensified their search for an additional suspect connected to Project Chatter, a comprehensive investigation targeting the trafficking of fentanyl and firearms within York Region and the Greater Toronto Area. Authorities are now seeking public assistance to locate Christopher Morgan, a 27-year-old Toronto resident wanted for allegedly trafficking a controlled substance.
Project Chatter: A Major Law Enforcement Operation
Project Chatter represents one of the most significant law enforcement operations in recent York Region history. The investigation has already yielded substantial results, with police previously arresting 23 individuals and charging them with a combined total of 330 criminal offences. The operation has led to the recovery of 32 illegal firearms and a massive quantity of drugs, including more than 700,000 doses of fentanyl with an estimated street value exceeding $7 million.
Christopher Morgan is specifically wanted for allegedly trafficking a substantial amount of fentanyl as part of this criminal network. Police have been unable to locate him despite extensive efforts, prompting the issuance of an arrest warrant and this public appeal for information.
Suspect Profile and Police Appeal
Morgan is known to have ties to both Vaughan and Toronto, according to police investigators. Authorities have released his photograph and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately. Investigators have emphasized that Morgan is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to authorities.
"We are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to this individual may be subject to criminal charges themselves," stated investigators from the York Regional Police Guns, Gangs and Drug Enforcement Unit.
