Hamilton police have identified a 14-year-old boy wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at Jackson Square mall that left a 16-year-old dead.

Suspect Identified

Lucas Turnbull, 14, of Hamilton, is wanted for second-degree murder in the death of Nabil Askafe, also 16 and from Hamilton. The shooting occurred on April 25, 2026, at the downtown mall.

Police Appeal

Authorities are urging anyone with information on Turnbull's whereabouts to come forward. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
