Shortly after 2 p.m., Windsor Police Service officers were dispatched to the Glengarry Avenue and Chatham Street area following multiple reports of a man brandishing a gun. Police quickly tracked the suspect to the 800 block of Wyandotte Street East, where the situation escalated as the man attempted to flee from authorities.
Foot Chase Through Downtown Streets
As officers approached, the suspect abandoned a black satchel and took off running through downtown Windsor. Police pursued the individual on foot through several city blocks before finally apprehending him in the 500 block of Marentette Avenue. The foot chase created significant concern among downtown residents and businesses before officers successfully took the suspect into custody.
Significant Seizure of Weapons and Drugs

- A loaded Glock 19 handgun

- 39.7 grams of fentanyl
- 98 grams of cannabis
- Two cell phones

The 31-year-old Etobicoke man now faces numerous serious charges related to the incident. These include:

- Possession of over 30 grams of cannabis in a public place
- Possession of a schedule I substance (fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking
- Breach of release order
