Toronto Man Faces Sexual Assault Charges Following Massage Appointments

A 49-year-old Toronto man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault following complaints from a client who reported alleged incidents occurring during massage sessions in both Markham and Toronto.

Quoc Vinh Tran is facing serious allegations after a complainant came forward to York Regional Police with information about separate incidents that reportedly took place in August and September of 2025.

Details of the Alleged Incidents

According to police reports, the first alleged incident occurred on August 12, 2025, when the complainant visited a residence in Toronto's Rosemount Avenue and Via Italia area for a massage appointment. During the treatment, the customer was allegedly touched for a sexual purpose.

The second alleged incident took place on September 1, 2025, at a swimming club in Markham located near Woodbine Avenue and Highway 407. Police state that during this encounter, the complainant was again allegedly touched for a sexual purpose.

Investigators have confirmed that their investigation revealed the suspect is not a registered massage therapist in Ontario, raising concerns about unregulated practitioners operating in the Greater Toronto Area.

Ongoing Investigation and Related Police Activity

York Regional Police continue to investigate the case as Quoc Vinh Tran faces two counts of sexual assault. The charges come amid other significant police operations in the region.

In a separate but concurrent investigation, York Regional Police executed eight search warrants as part of a drug trafficking investigation that began in February. Officers seized substantial quantities of narcotics including cocaine, LSD, methamphetamine, MDMA, ketamine, alprazolam, and cannabis, along with more than $300,000 in cash and a firearm with ammunition.

Seven individuals face various charges in connection with the drug bust, including Xinmei Chen, 46, of Markham; Andy Lee, 33, of Toronto; Jeffrey Dang, 33, and Miki Park, 30, both of Toronto; Sai Wing Yuen, 19, of Toronto; and Hongmei Zhou, 43, and Chunrong Yang, 51, both of Markham.

Police also responded to a home invasion in Richmond Hill where three suspects forced their way into a residence near McCallum Drive and Bathurst Street in the early hours of Sunday morning. The occupants were rounded up while the home was ransacked, with one victim assaulted but suffering no lasting injuries.

Authorities describe the sexual assault investigation as ongoing and encourage anyone with additional information to come forward.
