Suspended Toronto Massage Therapist Faces Second Sexual Assault Charge
Toronto Massage Therapist Accused of Second Sex Assault

A 66-year-old Toronto massage therapist, already suspended from practice, is facing a second sexual assault charge after a new allegation surfaced from a client in South Etobicoke.

Second Allegation Leads to Arrest

Toronto Police report that the latest incident occurred on November 28, 2025. The alleged victim attended a massage clinic located near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Thirtieth Street, west of Kipling Avenue. According to authorities, the individual was sexually assaulted while receiving a massage.

Investigators identified a suspect and made an arrest on Saturday, December 27, 2025. The accused is David Ludwig, a massage therapist whose certificate of registration was already under an interim suspension.

A History of Similar Charges

This is not the first such accusation against Ludwig. He was previously charged with one count of sexual assault on July 30, 2025, following an alleged incident that took place on July 25, 2025. That alleged assault was reported to have happened at a clinic near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Thirty Third Street.

Following the first charge, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) records show that Ludwig signed an undertaking upon his release. This agreement restricted him from contacting a specified client and prohibited him from coming within 50 metres of that individual.

More significantly, the undertaking ordered him not to provide massage therapy to any client unless that person had first signed a form acknowledging they were aware he had been charged with sexual assault in relation to his practice.

Interim Suspension and Ongoing Investigation

The CMTO took further action, issuing an interim suspension effective August 11, 2025. This suspension remains in place until the matter is resolved by the College's committees or tribunals.

While the status of the initial charge from July is not publicly known, Ludwig is now scheduled to appear in court on February 11, 2026, to answer to the new charge.

Given the nature of the allegations and the time frame, investigators have expressed concern that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. As a result, police have released a photograph of David Ludwig to the public.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this investigation to contact the Toronto Police Service at 416-808-2200. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
