Nova Scotia RCMP have launched a comprehensive homicide investigation following a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 28-year-old man in the community of North Preston.
The tragedy unfolded on Sunday evening when police received multiple reports of gunfire in the area. Officers from the Halifax District RCMP responded immediately to the scene near the intersection of Downey Road and Hwy. 107 around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a male victim suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by paramedics and first responders, the 28-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
