Saskatoon Police Issue Public Safety Alert for Serial Voyeur's Release

In a move driven by an abundance of caution, the Saskatoon Police Service has issued a public safety alert regarding the release of serial voyeur Kyle Ronald Hameluck. The 37-year-old man, who has been convicted of 70 incidents of voyeurism, indecent acts, and trespassing dating back to 2014, was released from the Saskatoon Correctional Centre on February 14.

Extensive Criminal History and Recent Sentencing

Hameluck received a three-year sentence in October after pleading guilty to 23 voyeurism charges for offenses occurring between 2017 and 2024. With 18 months credit for time served on remand, he had approximately six months remaining on his sentence at the time of release. He is now on probation for two years with strict court-imposed conditions.

Police emphasized their concern about Hameluck's potential to reoffend, stating they are releasing his name and photo as a precautionary measure. This marks the fourth time Hameluck has been arrested for similar crimes, having previously served sentences in 2017, 2020, and 2022.

Strict Probation Conditions

Hameluck's release conditions include:

  • A curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Prohibition from contacting any past victims
  • Ban on possessing or using any cell phones or digital devices capable of taking photographs or videos
  • Restriction from possessing non-prescription drugs

Police are asking the public to call 306-975-8300 if they observe Hameluck breaching any of these conditions. He is described as 5 foot 10 inches tall, 155 pounds, with brown but balding hair, green eyes, and distinctive mushroom and railroad track tattoos.

Pattern of Reoffending

Court documents reveal a disturbing pattern of behavior. Hameluck would prowl around women's homes at night, looking through windows while they were undressing and often recording them. In two previous cases, he reoffended while on probation. His most recent crimes occurred approximately five months after being sentenced in 2022 to time served and 12 months probation for unlawfully being in a dwelling house.

Upon his arrest in March 2024 for voyeurism, harassment, and stalking, Hameluck was charged with 61 additional historical offenses while in custody. He was found with a cell phone that had a partially-functioning camera, which violated his previous conditions.

The Saskatoon Police Service's unusual decision to issue this public alert reflects their serious concerns about community safety given Hameluck's extensive history of violating probation and committing similar offenses repeatedly over the past decade.
