A rookie New York Police Department officer is facing a departmental investigation and potential termination after her secretive side hustle as an explicit content creator on the platform OnlyFans was uncovered by internal investigators.
The Discovery and the Content
According to reports from the New York Post, Officer Dannah Battino, 28, posted what internal sources have described as "pornographic images" on her subscription-based page. The content reportedly featured the officer fully nude, and in one series, engaged in a sexual encounter with another woman. Battino, who is of Latina heritage, joined the NYPD in April 2025 and is currently assigned to the 110th Precinct in Queens. She remains on the standard two-year probationary period for all new officers.
Her online presence, operating under the username gainswbattino/thatcoupleaftermidnight, predated her career with the police force. She previously worked as an FDNY emergency medical technician. Battino reportedly took the page down shortly after the scandal came to light within the department.
Internal Outrage and Policy Violations
The revelation has sparked significant anger among some of her colleagues and superiors. One NYPD source told the Post, "She should be immediately terminated from this job. There's no place in this department for that. We are paramilitary, and we have to have some kind of standard to be a police officer." Another added bluntly, "She needs to get out of the department."
Beyond the nature of the content, a critical issue for the NYPD brass is the apparent failure to disclose all sources of income. The starting salary for an NYPD officer is approximately $60,884, which likely motivated the side venture. A department source indicated that "failure to disclose all ways that you made money could be sufficient reason to terminate." It remains unclear how much revenue Battino generated from her OnlyFans account.
Some within the force have also questioned how the department's pre-employment screening missed the online content. "If we can find it, why didn't the investigators find it? She shouldn't have gotten through," a police source questioned.
Union Defense and a Precedent in Detroit
In contrast to the internal criticism, Battino's union, the Police Benevolent Association (PBA), has come to her defense. PBA President Patrick Hendry stated, "If she did not do anything illegal or anything that impacts her ability to perform her duties, then it's nobody's business but her own. It's shameful that her personal information is being dumped out into public view."
This case echoes a similar incident in Detroit in 2022. Rookie officer Janelle Zielinski resigned one day after the Detroit Police Department discovered her OnlyFans page and initiated suspension proceedings. Zielinski had graduated from the police academy just months earlier, in March 2022, and was gone by September of that year.
An NYPD spokesperson confirmed that Officer Battino's conduct is now "under internal review." The outcome will determine if she faces charges of conduct unbecoming an officer and whether she can continue her career in law enforcement.
