A rookie New York Police Department officer is facing potential termination after the department discovered her secret side hustle as an explicit content creator on the subscription platform OnlyFans.
The Investigation and Allegations
According to a report from the New York Post, Officer Dannah Battino, 28, is under investigation by the NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau. Sources described the images she posted on her OnlyFans account as "pornographic," featuring full nudity and, in one series, a same-sex encounter. The content was reportedly created and posted before and possibly during her tenure with the police force.
Battino, who joined the NYPD in April 2025 and is currently stationed at the 110th Precinct in Queens, is on the standard two-year probation period for new officers. Her previous employment was as an FDNY emergency medical technician. She has since taken down her OnlyFans page, which operated under the username gainswbattino/thatcoupleaftermidnight.
Failure to Disclose and Internal Outrage
A critical element of the investigation is Battino's alleged failure to disclose all sources of income to the department. With a starting NYPD salary of approximately $60,884, the additional earnings from her OnlyFans account were not reported, which alone could be grounds for termination. "Failure to disclose all ways that you made money could be sufficient reason to terminate," a source told The Post.
The revelation has caused significant outrage within the department. One NYPD source stated bluntly to the tabloid, "She should be immediately terminated from this job. There's no place in this department for that. We are paramilitary, and we have to have some kind of standard to be a police officer." Another questioned how her online history was missed during the hiring process: "If we can find it, why didn't the investigators find it? She shouldn't have gotten through."
Union Defense and Precedent
Despite the internal criticism, Battino's union, the Police Benevolent Association (PBA), has come to her defense. PBA president Patrick Hendry argued, "If she did not do anything illegal or anything that impacts her ability to perform her duties, then it's nobody's business but her own. It's shameful that her personal information is being dumped out into public view."
The NYPD confirmed that Battino's conduct is "under internal review." This case mirrors a similar 2022 incident in Detroit, where rookie officer Janelle Zielinski resigned one day after the Detroit Police Department discovered her OnlyFans page and planned to suspend her.
