Mississauga Home Targeted in Two Arson Attacks

Police in Mississauga are investigating two fires that were intentionally set at the same residence, according to a recent release from Peel Regional Police. The incidents occurred in January and March, with the home being unoccupied at the time of both blazes, resulting in significant damage but no injuries.

Details of the Arson Incidents

The first fire took place on January 26 at a house located in the area of Watersedge Road and Country Club Crescent, near Lake Ontario in the Southdown Road and Lakeshore Road West vicinity. Authorities confirmed that the property sustained substantial harm from the flames.

Then, on March 8, the same home was targeted again in a second arson attack. Police have stated that both events are believed to be targeted acts of arson, indicating a deliberate focus on this specific property.

Suspect Description and Vehicle

Investigators have released a description of the suspect, who is described as a male wearing a blue hoodie with a white emblem, black pants, and black shoes with white soles. Additionally, police are seeking information about a suspect vehicle identified as a white Honda CRV.

Triple Stabbing in Toronto Leads to Arrest

In a separate incident, Toronto Police responded to a stabbing early Thursday in North York. Officers were called to a residential building near Glendora Avenue and Burnwell Street, close to Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue East, around 3:40 a.m.

Injuries and Arrest

Two women and a man were injured in the attack and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. The suspect fled the scene on foot but was later located and taken into custody by authorities.

There has been no immediate announcement regarding charges in connection with the stabbing, as the investigation continues. Police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the violent altercation.
