A man is dead following a targeted afternoon shooting at a residence in Abbotsford, British Columbia, on Friday, January 9, 2026. The Abbotsford Police Department has confirmed the victim was a known figure connected to the province's ongoing gang conflict.
Police Respond to Shots Fired Call
Officers were dispatched to the 3200-block of Siskin Drive in west Abbotsford just after 12:35 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased male at the scene.
Police spokesman Sergeant Paul Walker stated that both the victim and the residence itself were "well-known" to authorities. He further clarified the victim's ties to criminal activity, noting the man was "connected to B.C.'s gang conflict."
