Fugitive Parole Violator Apprehended in Connection with Toronto Homicide

Drysdale had been the subject of a Canada-wide warrant since March 15, 2025, after breaching his parole conditions and disappearing from authorities.
The fugitive, who was known to frequent Ottawa, Brantford, and Toronto areas, had been serving an eight-year, eight-month sentence for multiple serious offenses including discharging a restricted firearm with intent, robbery with threats of violence, and various weapons possession charges.
Connection to December Homicide Revealed
Following his capture, Toronto Police have charged Drysdale with first-degree murder in the death of 79-year-old Jolan Kun. The elderly woman was found deceased on the morning of December 9 in an apartment located in the St. Clair Avenue West and Rushton Road area, within Toronto's Humewood neighborhood.
A post-mortem examination conducted shortly after the discovery classified Kun's death as a homicide. Toronto Police had previously identified her as the city's 38th homicide victim of 2025, marking a tragic milestone in urban crime statistics.
Additional Suspect and Extensive Charges
Drysdale is not alone in facing accusations related to this case. Thirty-eight-year-old Kaream Hines has also been charged with murder in connection with Kun's death, indicating police believe multiple individuals were involved in the crime.
