Four Charged in Major Drug Bust with Over $650K in Drugs

The Regina Police Service has announced significant charges against four individuals following a major drug bust that resulted in the seizure of narcotics with an estimated street value exceeding $650,000. According to police authorities, the operation led to the confiscation of more than five kilograms of cocaine and over one kilogram of fentanyl, along with additional controlled substances and cash.

Extensive Five-Month Investigation

The charges stem from a comprehensive five-month investigation conducted by law enforcement agencies. The individuals facing charges include three residents from Saskatchewan and one from Alberta, with their ages ranging from 43 to 56 years old. All four suspects made their initial court appearances in Regina provincial court earlier this week.

Multiple Search Warrants Executed

On February 7, 2026, authorities executed four separate search warrants as part of the coordinated operation. The warrants were served at locations in Regina, Davidson, Saskatchewan, and Brandon, Manitoba. Arrests were made at these locations as well as in Moosomin, Saskatchewan, demonstrating the widespread nature of the alleged criminal activities.

Substantial Drug Seizures Detailed

Police have provided specific details about the narcotics confiscated during the operation. The seized substances include:

  • 5,276 grams of cocaine
  • 1,089 grams of fentanyl
  • 183 grams of methamphetamine

In addition to the controlled substances, authorities also seized $25,705 in cash during the raids. The combined street value of all confiscated items is estimated to be well over $650,000, according to police calculations.

Criminal Organization Charges

The charges against the four individuals are particularly serious, with some facing allegations of "instructing" the commission of offences for a criminal organization. All suspects are charged with committing offences at the direction of a criminal organization, in addition to multiple drug trafficking charges. These allegations suggest a coordinated criminal enterprise rather than isolated incidents of drug distribution.

Multi-Agency Cooperation

The investigation was led primarily by the Regina Police Service Drug Unit and Regina Crime Reduction Team, with significant assistance from the Brandon Police Service Organized Crime Unit and the Saskatoon Police Service. This inter-agency collaboration highlights the coordinated approach law enforcement is taking to combat organized drug trafficking operations in the region.

The substantial quantities of drugs seized, particularly the dangerous opioid fentanyl, represent a significant disruption to local drug distribution networks. Police authorities have emphasized the importance of such operations in combating the ongoing opioid crisis and reducing drug-related harm in communities across Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces.
