Former Georgia Police Officer Charged with Child Abuse, Bestiality Videos
Ex-Cop Charged with Child Abuse, Bestiality Videos

A former police officer in Georgia is facing serious federal charges after being accused of producing and distributing videos depicting child sexual abuse and acts of bestiality.

Former Officer Indicted on Federal Charges

Amber Nicole Ferguson, 34, of Commerce, Georgia, was indicted by a federal grand jury on December 2, 2025, and arraigned two days later. She had been a member of the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. Ferguson was initially charged in January 2025 and subsequently fired from the force. She turned herself in on charges related to the sexual exploitation of children.

According to court documents, the investigation began when a family member of two minors alerted the police department about concerning behaviour involving Ferguson. Detectives later allegedly discovered suspected child sexual abuse material on the former officer's phone. A deeper probe revealed she was also involved in creating bestiality content.

Shocking Details of the Allegations

The allegations state that Ferguson not only possessed the illegal material but also produced and starred in it. The children involved were under the age of 12, and the bestiality videos reportedly featured a horse and a dog.

Steven N. Schrank, a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations, called the accusations "a profound betrayal of the trust and responsibility placed in law enforcement officers." Ferguson has been indicted on charges including production and attempted production of child sexual abuse material, possession of such material involving a child under 12, and production of obscene material.

If convicted on the production charges, she faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.

A Second, Separate Bestiality Case Emerges

In a unrelated case, Cassie L. Snay, 26, has been charged with two counts of bestiality in Allen County, Indiana. She made her first court appearance on Monday, December 15, 2025. An arrest warrant was issued for Snay on December 10.

This investigation started when police were looking into her boyfriend, Trey Allan Mettler, for failing to register as a sex offender. After his arrest in January 2025, detectives seized his phones. A sex-crimes investigator reviewing the data in March 2025 found a massive cache of files, including about 69,000 images and 11,000 videos. Among them was suspected child sexual abuse material and videos allegedly showing Snay engaged in sexual acts with a dog.

Authorities allege at least one video was recorded at a Motel 6 in Fort Wayne, while other incidents occurred at a home Snay identified as her mother's. During an interview on September 19, 2025, Snay reportedly confessed to the conduct and to creating and sending the videos to Mettler.

These two cases, while separate, highlight ongoing investigations into severe sexual exploitation crimes by law enforcement agencies.
