Chestermere RCMP are urgently requesting assistance from the public as they investigate a violent home invasion that left a resident injured in the lakeside community east of Calgary.
Details of the Early Morning Attack
The incident occurred in the Lakeview Landing community on December 22 at approximately 5:40 a.m. According to police, two unknown male suspects forced their way into a residence. The intruders, who were wearing masks and dark clothing, assaulted one of the homeowners before fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that the individual is now in recovery.
Police Search for Suspects and Vehicle
Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest in the case. They believe the suspects were operating a silver Ford F150 truck from the mid-2000s.
In a public appeal, the Chestermere RCMP detachment is asking anyone in the Chestermere area or surrounding regions to review their personal security or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident. They are particularly interested in any sightings of the described suspects or vehicle.
"RCMP is asking anyone who may have seen individuals matching this description, or a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description, in Chestermere or the surrounding area around the time of the incident, to contact police," stated the official news release.
