Calgary police have launched a public appeal for assistance in locating two individuals wanted in connection with a violent assault that occurred in a downtown alley, leaving a man with life-threatening injuries. The incident, which took place behind the Palomino Smokehouse at 109 7 Ave. S.W., has prompted authorities to release descriptions and surveillance images of the suspects.
Details of the Assault
At approximately 11:20 a.m. on October 3 of last year, emergency responders discovered a man in his 40s severely beaten in the alley behind the popular restaurant. The victim, who has since recovered from his injuries, was assaulted while having personal belongings stolen by his attackers. Police have confirmed that the assault was captured on surveillance footage, providing crucial evidence in the investigation.
Suspect Descriptions Released
Investigators have identified a male and female suspect based on the surveillance footage. The female suspect is described as being between 25 and 35 years old with a slim build and long brown hair. At the time of the assault, she was wearing black pants, a grey shirt, white shoes, and a puffy black coat.
The male suspect appears to be 35 to 45 years old with a moustache and short, dark hair. A distinctive tattoo is visible on the back of his left hand. During the incident, he was clad in a dark green Reebok shirt, jeans, black-and-white running shoes, and a grey zip-up hoodie.
