Lethbridge police have seized 34 firearms from a 59-year-old man's residence following his arrest on Wednesday for the alleged criminal harassment of a woman in British Columbia.

The investigation began in Saanich, on Vancouver Island, where police responded to a report that a woman had received nearly 60 concerning messages and videos depicting an individual with numerous firearms, according to Lethbridge police on Thursday. The woman expressed fear for her safety.
Details of the Incident
The Lethbridge man reportedly began sending disturbing messages to the woman after a failed firearm purchase. He had previously agreed to buy a firearm from the B.C. woman, but the deal fell through when she was not paid, police said.
Following the arrest, Lethbridge police searched the man's residence on Canyon Boulevard, seizing 34 firearms. Authorities allege that multiple weapons were unlawfully possessed or improperly stored.
Charges Filed
Lethbridge resident Daniel Hazen Stebbins, 59, faces one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and one count of criminal harassment. He is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing. Additionally, Stebbins faces seven counts of unsafe storage of a firearm, three counts of unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm, and three counts of unlawful possession of a prohibited device.
Police continue to investigate the case, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges and the importance of safe firearm storage.
