Brian Walton, 63, has been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Claudia Guevara, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Guevara was reported missing by her brother on February 20, 1996, after she failed to return home following being dropped off by two co-workers at a bus stop in El Monte, California. The young woman had been sexually assaulted and stabbed in the neck, according to official reports.
