Major Drug Interception at Calgary International Airport Leads to Arrest
In a significant law enforcement operation, authorities at Calgary International Airport have seized a substantial quantity of illicit drugs and made an arrest. Discovery and Seizure of 15.5 Kilograms of Suspected Crystal Meth
At approximately 9:30 a.m., personnel from the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority flagged a checked bag containing three large, individually wrapped packages. Upon inspection, these packages were found to hold a crystal-like substance, which preliminary analysis suggests is crystal methamphetamine.
The Calgary Police Service was promptly notified and dispatched officers to the scene. After assessing the contents, police confirmed the total weight of the seized material to be 15.5 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $780,000.
