Siksika Health Services will host its 23rd annual health fair on Thursday at the Deerfoot Sportsplex on the Siksika First Nation in southern Alberta. The event aims to promote health and wellness among community members and the general public.
Event Details
The health fair will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature free health screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol checks. Attendees can also access dental and vision screenings, as well as information on nutrition, fitness, and mental health resources.
Organizers say the fair is designed to be family-friendly, with activities for children, door prizes, and healthy snacks. Local health professionals and organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
Community Impact
This year's theme focuses on holistic health, emphasizing the connection between physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The event is open to everyone, not just Siksika Nation members, and admission is free.
Siksika Health Services encourages all community members to attend and take advantage of the resources available. For more information, visit the Siksika Health Services website or contact their office.
