Ottawa Bluesfest 2026 is set to be a blockbuster event, with five nights already leading advance ticket sales. Festival boss Mark Monahan revealed the top-selling acts based on ticket patterns, though he declined to disclose specific numbers.
Cody Johnson Kicks Off the Festival
Country traditionalist Cody Johnson performs on July 9. His authentic style, rooted in his past as a rodeo rider, combined with a smooth voice and twangy ballads, has made him a top draw. Monahan noted that Johnson's show is the best-selling opening night in recent memory.
Limp Bizkit Brings Nostalgia on July 10
Rap-rock icons Limp Bizkit headline July 10, known for hits like "Nookie" and "Break Stuff." Their high-energy show also features Cypress Hill and a Springsteen tribute by Hank Azaria's EZ Street Band. This Friday night is the second-best seller so far.
The Lumineers on July 12
Folk-rock band The Lumineers, famous for "Hey Ho," perform on July 12. The lineup includes Ottawa-connected acts Leif Vollebekk and summersets. Monahan called this night a "strong contender" for top attendance.
Ella Langley on July 17
Country star Ella Langley, fresh off five Academy of Country Music awards, headlines July 17. Her breakout hit "Choosin' Texas" has driven ticket demand. Sheryl Crow and Angine de Poitrine open.
The Guess Who Close on July 19
Legendary Canadians The Guess Who, with original members Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings, close the festival on July 19. Monahan said this night is "selling exceptionally well" among classic rock fans.
Bluesfest runs July 9-19 at LeBreton Flats Park. Monahan emphasized that weather often affects final turnout, but advance sales indicate strong interest across these five nights.
