Durham Regional Police have announced charges against five individuals, including three youths prohibited from carrying weapons, following a robbery investigation that led to the seizure of multiple firearms.
Robbery Involving Limousine
The arrests stem from an early Sunday morning incident in Toronto where a limousine driver was allegedly threatened with a firearm. The suspect took a passenger's backpack from the trunk while the passenger was not present. No physical injuries were reported.
Police located a second limousine in the Kingston-Liverpool Roads area of Pickering and initiated a traffic stop. Seven occupants were taken into custody, with two released unconditionally. Officers seized three firearms, two of which had prohibited overcapacity magazines, along with cash. One firearm had an altered serial number, and another was reported stolen from the United States.
Charges Laid
Nicole Marie Prout, 47, and Elias Mahamoud-Hill, 19, both of Toronto, face charges including possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a prohibited or restricted device, and tampering with a serial number. Hill was additionally charged with breach of probation and was subject to a weapon prohibition at the time of his arrest.
Three youths—a 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male from Toronto, and a 17-year-old male from Ajax—face similar charges. All three were under weapon prohibitions, with one subject to curfew conditions and another to house arrest.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired around 1 a.m. on Monday following a physical altercation. A large group fled upon police arrival. No injuries were reported.
