Windsor Police Seek Three Suspects After Knife Threat, Pepper Spray Attack

Windsor police are actively searching for three suspects following two violent incidents targeting youths in the city. The first incident occurred when a 12-year-old boy was threatened with a knife at a park, and the second involved two teenagers who were pepper-sprayed about 40 minutes later.

Initial Incident at Lillian Avenue Park

Officers responded to a park in the 2700 block of Lillian Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. on March 30 after receiving a report of a weapons-related incident. According to police, the 12-year-old boy was sitting on a bench when an unknown male approached him and attempted to intimidate him. When the boy told the suspect to leave him alone, the suspect used a knife to cut the child's pant leg. Fortunately, the boy was not physically injured and was able to run home safely.

Second Incident at Ypres Avenue Community Centre

Approximately 40 minutes later, officers were called to a community centre in the 1000 block of Ypres Avenue, where two 16-year-olds were pepper-sprayed. Investigators believe the same suspect from the earlier incident approached the teens and sprayed both of them in the face. He was then joined by two other males, and all three fled the area together. The teenagers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
