Windsor Police Seek Suspect in Violent Vehicle Theft

Windsor police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a violent vehicle theft incident that occurred in Lakeshore.

According to a social media post from the police on Wednesday, the owner of a Honda CR-V was dragged and sustained injuries when suspects stole the vehicle on March 27.

Investigators from the Windsor police auto theft unit recovered the stolen vehicle on April 23 in a parking lot located in the 3400 block of Bloomfield Road.

This week, law enforcement released security camera footage depicting a woman who was seen in the passenger seat of the stolen vehicle. In the footage, the woman is wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt with a camouflage-style pattern, black skinny pants, and white and black sneakers. She is also carrying a cross-body bag with a black strap.
